POSITION PURPOSE
Zibandlela is seeking a reliable, organised and detail-oriented Financial Administrator to provide financial and administrative support to the organisation.
The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day financial processing, record keeping, reconciliations, invoicing and general finance administration while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and compliance with company procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process and maintain accurate financial records and transactions.
- Prepare and issue invoices, statements and supporting documentation.
- Capture supplier invoices, expenses and payments.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable administration.
- Perform bank, supplier and customer account reconciliations.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and maintain debtor records.
- Maintain organised financial filing systems and supporting documents.
- Assist with processing purchase orders and supplier documentation.
- Capture financial information accurately onto relevant accounting systems.
- Assist with petty cash administration and reconciliations.
- Support month-end financial reporting and preparation of schedules.
- Assist with payroll-related administration where required.
- Liaise with suppliers, clients and internal departments regarding financial queries.
- Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation when required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and company information.
- Perform general finance and administrative duties as required by management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 / Matric with Accounting or Mathematics.
- Diploma or qualification in Finance, Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration or a related field is advantageous.
- Previous experience in a finance, bookkeeping or financial administration role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience with accounting or financial management software will be advantageous.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reconciliations.
